who doesn't like thai food? well, maybe some of you don't but i LOVEEE thai food. one of my favorite destination for holiday is Bangkok for its shopping places but mainly because its food. it's cheap and my tongue loves it. thai pancake, tom yum, meatball noodle, coconut ice cream, ah this can go on forever.
let's get rollin (get it spring rolls, rollin. uh me and my humor)
Prep the ingredients, they are
- bawang bombay - carrots - shrimp - jamur kuping
Using mortar&pestle (better known as..ehm ulekan) ulek white pepper (merica)
with garlic and don't forget some salt....
Now boil some water and put in the soun/glass noodle.
chop it up up up! oh and don't forget to boil the shrimp
now let's get on to the cooking process
pour some oil to the skillet and put in the bumbu (merica+garlic)
jangan sampe gosoooong!
fast forward >>>>>>>>> dump the food you have prepared (jamur kuping, carrot, shrimp, soun and onions)
season it with pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce (saos tiram), and sugar.
the reason i didn't season it with salt is because
1) udh ada soy sauce
2) udh dikasih garam di bumbu garlic+merica nya
but if you feel like it lacks salt, add some! hahaha
ROLLING THE ROLLS! spoon a tablespoon of rolls' filling to the kulit lumpia
like dis. and prepare a little water because you'll need it to stick the kulit lumpia.
ini agak salah fotonya, harusnya dilipet dari bawah sampe ketemu kulit diatasnya, lalu dikasih air sampe nempel, baru tutup kanan kirinya dan di roll keatas sampe pojok terus kasih air sampe nempel!
jangan sampe robek, be gentle with the kulit lumpia karena kalo robek pas gorengnya bisa luber kemana-mana. kalo udah digulung semua, prepare cooking oil and fry it.
selamat mencoba and happy holiday
